1 can of pureed tomatoes (amount depending on amount of sauce you want to make)
Garlic clove
Olive oil
2 meatball and 2 sausages (amount depending on how much sauce you want to make)
Pepper
Salt
Garlic powder
Onion Powder
Using medium sized pot (big pot if making a lot of sauce) turn it on to medium (high heat will burn the garlic and meat) heat and put olive oil in so that it coats the bottom of the pot. When the oil is sizzling, you then want to throw in the garlic and cook it until it browns a bit (can used chopped, crushed, or sliced garlic). Once the garlic browns, put in meatballs and sausages. Turn them regularly so that they cook evenly. Take out the meat before they become fully cooked and place them on a plate and cover them for the time being. Now, pour the amount of tomato sauce you would like with the olive oil and garlic in the bottom of the pot. Stir the sauce and the olive oil and garlic together. When stirred, you want to add seasoning relative to your liking. You want to add a healthy amount of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder (don’t be cheap with the seasoning, the more seasoning the more flavor). You then want to stir the all the seasoning into the sauce, tasting as you go so that you are getting your desired level of seasoning. When the sauce starts to bubble up, you want to put the meat back into the sauce and stir it in so that the juices from the meat mix into the sauce, again, tasting as you go. You want to let the meat cook in the sauce so that its juices can give the sauce more flavor. All you have to do now is put a lid on the sauce on the lowest heat, stirring every 5-10 mins for at least an hour if you have less sauce. Tip: cook the sauce 1 hour for every can of sauce used. You can make a big batch of sauce on a day off so that you are able to cook it for longer and are able to use the sauce for meals during the week. Can be put on pasta, chicken, pizza, anything really. I know this isn’t really a meal, but it is something that will make meals taste much better.
